Spiti Valley, literally meaning the land between the magnificent India & majestical Tibet. This place is the epitome of magic. From beautiful landscapes to a rich cultural heritage – there is nothing you cannot find here! Separated from Lahaul Valley by the soaring Kunzum La at 4551m, Spiti Valley is a must-visit destination in the months of October, November & December.
Moonscapes to marvels, scattered villages, Spiti Valley will surely make you forget about any other panorama you’ve ever seen.
The whitewashed mud-brick homes along with the perched Key Monastery look exceptionally out of the world!
Rediscovering vintage Spiti is the place to revive your love for the long-lost things. This could be sending a postcard from the highest post office in the world or going fossil hunting in the villages of Hikkim and Langza. Langza welcomes you with a life-size golden statue of Buddha. The sedimentary rocks of this village hide remains of plants & marine life millions of years old. Go see for yourself if you’re lucky enough to spot one!
Contrary to all shades of grey and white, a turquoise ribbon of the Spiti River will meet you as your near-constant companion, running along a broad valley before turning south at Sumdo into the precipitous gorges of the Hangrang Valley. Adding a cherry on top of the cake, we witness the beautiful landscape of Kinnaur, explore the quaint villages of Chitkul & Kalpa before continuing the journey to Spiti.
The approaches to Spiti remain among the most rugged and scenically spectacular roads in India, and that is why we want you to book our Spiti Valley Packages for 2024 and take that epic road trip with us, that too in the winters! With a group of like-minded travellers, exploring a place like Spiti becomes even more fun. It’s never just a journey, but a voyage that we take at Way4Travels!
